Good to know
A little help, woven in.
About your artwork
Is it printed on fabric?
No. Cotton and polyester yarns are woven together to form the image. The texture is part of the artwork, with a softer palette and less fine detail than a photographic print.
What images work well?
Clear subjects, strong shapes, and distinct areas of color tend to translate well. Tiny text and very fine details may be lost. Custom artwork creation will open later.
Can I upload my existing artwork?
Uploads and AI artwork creation are not open yet. For now, explore the collection and try each piece in a room.
How accurate is the preview?
The preview approximates the texture and color of a woven piece. Screen colors, woven yarns, hems, and final dimensions can vary. Keep important details at least 1.3 cm inside the edges and clear of the hanging pocket near the top.
How do I hang it?
The backed tapestry has a sewn-in rod pocket along the top. Use textile hanging hardware suited to the weight of the piece and your wall. Hanging hardware is currently not included. We’re testing a compatible hanging kit before making it available.
How do I care for it?
Dry clean or spot clean only. Do not bleach. Follow the care label that arrives with your textile. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and avoid pulling loose threads. Contact us if you need help with your particular piece.
Can woven art help with acoustics?
Textiles can absorb some sound and help soften reflections in a room. The effect depends on the fabric and how it’s hung, including its distance from the wall.
Woveta’s tapestries haven’t been acoustically tested, so we don’t give them a sound absorption rating or promise a particular reduction in echo or noise.
Research on sound absorption by textile curtains explores these effects. It supports the general principle, rather than measuring Woveta’s tapestries.
